Megan, Nisha, and Erika are three girls paving their paths in life, mostly without a map, though. These are their adventures as they make their way through life and love in New York City.
Floaters is the Emmy Award winning online program (the first Emmy awarded to an online scripted comedy or drama) that also garnered inclusion in the Producers Guild’s digital selection at Sundance, The New York Times "Year in Ideas" issue, as well as high praise from Frazier Moore, the Associated Press’ highly esteemed television critic. No doubt, though, when you consider the crew of talented and notable individuals who worked behind the scenes to make the show such a success: Michael Friedman, Jim Isler, Patch Darragh, Caitlin Miller, Nancy Tews, Arnold Finkelstein, Robert Jimenez, Ilana Emmet, Polina Berlin, Derek Silverman, Dan Tews, and Jennifer Morris to name just a few.
The show was crafted by a core group of writers, all guided by the deft hand of the multi-talented Brooke Berman. The writers included Mike Stickle, Paul Batsel, Lauren Cook (who also played Megan), Jamie Cummings (who also played Roland), Alison Becker, Caitlin Miller, Jennifer Houlton-Vinyl, and Jennifer Morris.
Finally, Floaters was blessed with an extraordinary cast, led by Lauren Cook (Megan), Kaitlyn Black (Erika), and Punam Bean (Nisha). They were accompanied regularly by Ephraim Lopez (Cameron), Tonya Canada (Andi), Lisa Adams (Pippa), Terri Mazzarella (Barrie), and the inimitable Jamie Cummings (Roland). Guest stars included Paul Caiola, Alexis Hyatt, Brett Coady, Gregory Lay, Bari Biern, Rebekkah Ross, Daniel Ball, Emily Allyn Barth, and the wonderful Maryann Black (Kaitlyn’s mom, who played Erika’s mom … too much backstory, but it’s a good tale).
