Memorial Day

Ultimate Burger
Serves 4

1 1/2 pounds of ground chuck (20% fat)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and freshly-ground pepper
4 hamburger buns
Thinly-sliced tomatoes, lettuce leaves, sliced onions or other desired topping, for serving

1. In a large bowl, lightly work the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder and onion powder into the beef with your hands. Divide the mixture in four, and form into patties, being careful not to overwork. Push your finger into the top of each burger to form an indentation.

2. Season outside of burgers liberally with salt and freshly ground pepper.

3. Grill over high heat until internal temperature reaches about 160 degrees, about 5-6 minutes on each side. Serve on buns with tomatoes, lettuce leaves and sliced onions, if desired.
